Thanks again Nucejoe. I finally got around to putting this movement back together, and now I'll take it apart again to clean and oil.
Now I also have to find out why my old Hampden lever set stopped running dial up after it was last wound. Runs dial down and seems to have picked up a "clanging" noise.
I'm working on a Waltham aircraft clock that has two broken mainsprings. The mainsprings have holes at both ends for attaching to the arbor and barrel but the new ones I received have a bridle at the barrel end instead of a hole. Is it possible to use the bridle end even though the barrel has the tab for a hole end?
