Hand Setting tool for 3D printing

Recommended Posts

I made these simple hand setting tools a couple of days ago, have test printed them and tried them and certainly feel better about using these than the tweezer method I've been using for some time.

Here's the thingiverse link for those with a 3D printer, or access to one who'd like to print themselves a couple.

Details for the print and specs are on the page so please read through if you're going to print.

hole sizes are 0.5-1.0 on one and 1.5-2.0 on the other, (all sizing in mm)

Thanks.

I personally feel they're grippy enough as FDM printing has layer lines as part of its process, adding knurling wouldn't be a bad idea though on the midsection, I'll look into doing that but I'm new to anything cad related so no idea how easy or not it is.

Ridges may be easier and would work maybe.
