Miyota 8215 or Chinese 2824 clone?

I'm doing  a couple of project watches with parts sources off of eBay.  I can't afford genuine ETA movements right now, so I'm using cheap movements until I can afford the ETAs.

I was initially going to use cheap Chinese ETA 2824 clones, but I was concerned about low quality and their ability to keep wound and keep time.  So I thought that I'd use Miyota 8215 movements, since they were the same price as the Chinese ETA clones (about $30 US) and presumably of better quality.  But the Miyotas don't hack, and they can't be hand wound.  

So now I don't know what to do.

What say the forum?

Decisions decisions.I haven't messed with either.But recently I did work on a seven jewel caravelle  1061.50 movement , which seems to be as far as I can tell a miyota 8270, a stripped down hand wind , no date version of the 8200..  I brought it back from the dead and it is now running very nicely, too nicely to put back in the coffin I pried it out of.Based on this experience I would lean towards the miyota.

Well that's good to know.  I can live with non-hacking until I can afford a genuine ETA movement.

if a vostok 2234 will fit the spot , they hack... and are super cheap..manual wind, of course. Many of them look like they came back from Afghanistan in a body bag.

No, I'm looking for an automatic movement for this project.  I have other projects for a 2801 and a 6498.
