Hi, I have a Longines 6942 and i need to remove the dial. Can anybody please tell me how to release the dial posts. There doesn't appear to be any screws. There looks like a couple of clips but i don't know how they release.Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you so much for the help HSL..

YW, the 6942 is a nice movement, I enjoy working on them and have a small collection of them and the 6952. With a good cleaning and lubrication you will have a nice piece of a watch there.
Good thing you didn't try to "wiggle" the dial out, the lever is like a smal knife which cuts it self in a bit in the pin and therefore is much tighter than friction fitted ones. I'we seen my fair share of broken pins on these dials.

Keep up the good work!

Alternatively move each feet a little at a time, since both feet should remain parrelel to each other at all times and stand at right angle on the dial, at 90 degrees.Dial plate can get warpped if feet is bent sideways.

   very good show !     vin
