Timegrapher question

To get the proper meaning of your question you have to ask the question correctly? Seconds per day means how many seconds in a day a timepiece is off. A Timegrapher Measures the Ticking sound in a watch averaged over a very short period of time and it makes a prediction of what the watch will do over 24 hours.  So using your timing machines/timeGrapherYou can regulate your watch hopefully to a few seconds per day. Then the only way to verify whether the timing machine is right is watch the watch over 24 hours or even better average over several days. Rolex averages for their timekeeping over three days at least to come up with the average seconds per day.

Making allowances for a secondary modern boy, I hope this question isn't too simple, but what does 'seconds a day mean'... is it over a 24 hour period?

I’m also a secondary modern, and also requiring allowances... so I understood your question precisely. I think others across the pond were baffled though [emoji3]
