Over the last few months I have collected quite a few spares for Timex watches mainly old movements, dials, basically boxes(small) of bits and bobs, I am trying to identify the following if you could help please.

Small movement first picture and crown stem second picture.

I have I think a M24 movement with the second hand sweep pin, I would like to build a watch from the spares I have but not sure what cannon pinion assembly to fit and hour wheel as I have so many!!.

Hi   Ianh   There are many timex models from the 60s I have a file some where with a lot of timex information, If I can find it I will be in touch, on hols for  a week now.  But as Yankeedog says mix and match as a lot of these parts were interchangable. By the way they were designed to be cleaned etc without dismantling, If they suffered major trauma they were exchanged like quartz units

first pic is a model 78

second pic is stem crown for non water proof case such as a Mercury with a model #22 movement

third pic is a model #24, there are two base cannon pinons. the one for the 24 and the other for the 25 ( has date feature)

4th pic is a "Sprite" 30mm case - 16mm lugs - uses non-luminous hands and could also NOT have a sweep.

the 24 will be shorter as will the hour wheel.  The problem with using the tech doc is that it just give you a part number but no dimensions.

so it really does not help other than to help id the parts name.  You would have to cross reference that part number via the main catalog to than get the inventory number.

Once I get back home I give you more info on the actual measurements needed to id the correct parts.

do you have the hands?  they are smaller than does used on a Marlin or Mercury.  oh and the top right lug looks to be bent :)
