  1. I have a Lorch watchmakers lathe with no carriage, and I wonder what is considered the limit of freehand work? I've been trying to see if I could get down to balance wheel pinion-size for a scrap movement I have. That would mean Ø0,06mm. But freehand I haven't been able to get thinner than Ø0,14mm. I guess carriages for the Lorch aren't abundant, and I'm not sure if they fit all models? What would a carriage cost?
