  1. Hello watchmakers! Now I am working on a vintage bifora movement, Bifora Cal.812. I have ruined the hairspring while trying to fix the position of it on the balance wheel to adjust the bit error. I am searching for the balance complete or just the hairspring on ebay and other suppliers but I haven't been lucky. May be I need other keywords for my search. Could anyone help me find the part I need?? Thanks!
  2. Hello dear watch repairers. I am working on a Bifora 910 manual wind movement. The movement was cleaned and oiled yesterday and I have been testing the performance. I noticed that when the watch is fully wound, the amplitude reaches somewhere above 300 and rate gets super high. However after about 5 minutes, both amplitude and rate plunge to a very low state. I thought mainspring was the reason so I took the barrel out, cleaned the mainspring and applied 8200 oil again only to get the similar result. What do you think is the problem and what can be done?? I am always thankful for your help. this is when fully wound After 5 minutes
  3. Hi everyone, I have a Bifora vintage wind up watch, German made. I don't know how to assemble it and no horologist or watchmaker or jeweler that I contacted wants to help. I would really appreciate it if someone could direct me to the proper website, magazine, book, anything so I can fix it and get it working again. I have all of the pieces, my only problem is figuring out how to assemble it. These pics are references, My watch looks just like the one in the picture. I really want to fix it but lack the expertise. Thanks a lot
