  1. I have a France Ebauches 140-1C movement and I need a new winding stem for it. I know that it is probably part of the Ronda system. Anybody know the number? Also is there a Bestfit, Quickfit, Schwartchild or Newall equivalent? What numbers would they be? Background: The movement is in a Caravelle N9 watch. Don't know much about later Caravelle's. It appears this watch is from the late 70's. Anybody know when Caravelle began to use France Ebauches movements? Thanks in advance!
  2. How to remove this winding stem? I don't know what I should push to remove this winding stem.
  3. Hi guys, I am having trouble getting this winding pinion out. It's got a funny pin thing on the tip, the pin on the tip will only come out so far then stop. I thought it might be threaded but when its extended it doesn't unscrew? The pin is held onto the main plate by a circle, I've undone all the screws around that area and if it's held on it's only by friction but I can't make that budge either. Any ideas .. also what is this type of stem called ? I probably will need to order a new one, the movement came without a case, stem, and crown. But it did come with the original enamel dial which is beautiful. Also the movement is beautify decorated, which is why I bought it. Sorry for the n00b questions but this is only my second time taking apart a movement. fun times ;-)
  4. Hello Everyone, I have a Waltham 16s Royal grade movement with a serial number of 12572623 and it is missing its windings stem. Does anyone have an idea as where to get the stem? Would any "16s" pocket watch stems work? Thank you very much.
  5. Hello! I am an absolute watch repairing novice. While attempting to replace the winding stem of my Gruen Curvex from the 40s (I suspect), as I was loosening the bolt screw, I believe I may have unscrewed too much and released the 'bolt piece' from underneath. If someone could please provide me with further information on how to remedy this situation, I would be very very appreciative! Thanks so much. The watch I am working on is a Gruen Curvex 17 Jewel Precision, printed on the inside of the case is the following: G466293 440 498
