Removing stem from Rotary 3984 (French quartz) in Watch Repairs Help & Advice Posted May 11, 2019 Hi all. First-time poster here. I need to remove the movement and crystal from this watch so that I can send the case to be replated. I've been looking at videos and tutorials on how to remove the winding stem, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to do it on this watch. I know it should be a relatively simple operation, and the guy at my local jeweller was going to charge me $45 to do the disassembly, so here I am! The problem is that I don't see any arrow, or "dimple" that I'm supposed to push down on, or anything. Or if it's a screw release, I don't know which screw to unscrew. The watch in question is a quartz Rotary with a French movement and the number "3984" etched on the back.
