  1. Thanks Everyone for the suggestions. Given the # of old watches I have and need of service. I am actually thinking of learning to service the watch. I will search this forum on how to get started and how long it will take to learn. It’s just not affordable for me to keep them and get them service. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Thanks A lot. I will try to oil first and if it does not work, I will service. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Hi All, I purchased this Le Jour vintage NOS last month and winder is too tight. Its keeping good time.Given its a manual winding watch and I don't wear it everyday. Can someone tell me if it will need a complete service? Are these expensive to service? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/232780699948 Thanks Ajay
  4. Thanks a lot. I found "topdom789" on eBay.
  5. Hi, Thanks for the help. I am new to this forum, how do I find the seller "topdom789"?
  6. Yes, the minute and seconds hand were too long. So I trimmed a bit. Does not look good at all but I cannot find small size minute and second hands.
  7. Hi, Thanks for the help. The picture, video of the movement outside of the case with new hands installed. I ordered the hands day before your comment, it seems I ordered a little longer based on your comment. I will check the size again and get shorter ones. Next step is to add back to the case and see if it still works. IMG_1803.MOV
  8. My friend tried to get the parts and lost the energy, so I took it. I am not watch expert but I thought if I can get some advice from the community I might be able to atleast get hands and see where we go from there. Do you know if these lumed parts can be fixed? I am sure it will need a service too after the hands are added..
  9. Thanks, I found the www.ranfft.de site but it listed the 25 jewels and not 17 jewels of the movement so I was not sure if this was the right hands size. Should I buy and take the chance?
  10. Below is how a good watch looks. https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=503401

  12. Thanks. Its "puw 1463" movement. If anyone has seen this movement and know the size of the hands. I will keep searching.
