    Graduation Day Comes!

Douglas, Thank you so much for posting this. You have inspired me more than I can articulate. I currently live in Florida with my wife and newborn, but we are moving to Pennsylvania, where I grew up, in January. I have been speaking to her about the possibility of going to the Lititz school in York. Approaching my 30th birthday this October, I have yet to find my calling and am unhappy with my job. I am hoping that once I am done with Mark's courses that I am currently going through now, that I will find that this is my calling. Hopefully we will be able to make it work financially, as that will be our biggest obstacle. However, reading your post, I can't help but be inspired and optimistic that we will find a way to make it work. If you ever have the time, please PM me so that we can chat!
  3. Hi everyone! Hope you all have had a pleasant weekend. I spent the weekend working through Mark's level 1 course and ordering all of my tools the the movement to start working on as I make my way to level 2 and 3 of the class. I was wondering if there is an industry standard, or a forum favorite, book that is good for a beginner watch repairer. I know I can search google for different books on the topic but I was hoping to see what everyone's experience here has been and what different recommendations you guys suggest. Don't know if this will be helpful but I would like to eventually focus on working with modern watches (I'm a younger guy and modern is just my thing right now) that either need to have a general service done or that are not working correctly. Looking forward to seeing your guys recommendations and I am super excited to be a part of this forum!
  4. Curious to know, did they respond?
  5. Hey guys, just signed up for the level 1 and 2 course and need to buy all the tools for level 2. Can anyone suggest where to order from in the United States? The movement used for level 2 it looks like I will have to get from the UK, but I would prefer to buy my tools in the U.S if possible. Thanks!

    Looking to make a change1

Thanks for the welcome guys! Marc was able to answer my questions personally and I will be starting the level 1 course tonight. Now I need to find some quality tools to prepare for level 2! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Hi everyone! My name is Greg but you an just call me Bumps! I currently live in South Florida but am originally from Pennsylvania. I recently (within the past year) got into watches and am actually considering taking Marc's paid courses to see if watch repair/servicing could be a possible career for me! Has anyone taken this course? If so I have a few questions and if you wouldn't mind sending me a private message I would greatly appreciate it! Can't wait to become an active member of the forum and meet everyone!
