  1. Ok think that maybe my problem. Still learning. So I oiled the pallet fork pivots and probably put too much on the stones. So time for a disassemble to clean the escape wheel and pallet fork and try again. I have the red and black dip oilers. Which one should I use for oiling? Also how to get a tiny amount of oil on the stones? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
  2. Well recently serviced a Louis branded watch. It has a 1950's AS 1194 movement. It was running about almost dead on for the first few days, now it's running about 20 sec slow. I do not have a time grapher yet. Doing it the old fashioned way. Anyway what kind of accuracy can I expect out of this movement? Or may be too much oil on the pallet stones? Any advice? Thanks Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
  3. All sorted, disassembled, cleaned, re-assembled and oiled. Running as we speak Thanks

  6. Hello still new here and learning a lot. Taking Mark's courses and reading a lot of books. Ok so I purchased a few Elgin 3/0 movements to practice on. So after a strip and clean and oil. The movement runs about 10 minuets fast in 12 hours? I checked the hairspring, it's between the regulator pins, no coils are touching? The balacnce staff is true. I demagnetized a few times. Still the same result. Any advice or suggestions? Thanks

  12. Hello first post here. Recently acquired a Benrus Citation with and ESA 9154. Tried to replace the battery, but its still not working. I am looking for some advice on how to repair this watch or send it to someone for repair? I have a spare movement and coil on the way. The only thing I know so far, is the movement has to come out of the front. Any assistance would be appreciated.
