  1. I would change the date ring. The teeth often wear unevenly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Hands not touching. Dial perfectly flat. I’ve doubled up the case clamps and that seems to have done the job!! Everyday is a school day ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Fullly cased up with the glass and case back intact. As soon as I tighten the case clamps the watch stops. The dial is perfectly flat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Having been in the business for many years I have recently come across a couple of watches that have had issues I’ve not seen before. Out of the case the watches work perfectly with great amplitude and timekeeping. Once inside the case and the case clamps are tightened, the timekeeping is terrible and both watches I’ve serviced stop !! I’ve tried tightening the case screws in various orders and tried the stem in several combinations but to no avail. The only conclusion I’ve come to is distortion of the case. Loosening of the case screws solves the issue but loose screws are not good!! Any id

  6. Hi. Are they any good? I believe the results can be a bit sketchy. The needle doesn’t move for a negative test but move a tiny amount for a positive result. I’ve only heard this second hand though!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. If you slightly, and I mean slightly, distend the tube ( with a pair of pliers or vice ) it should friction fit with some strong adhesive. You could also try cooling the case and heating the tube to expand it then friction fitting it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Best opening tool I ever bought. Expensive but worth every penny Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Here we go!! I’m looking for a new 7750 movement holder which is a bit more robust than the [email protected] plastic one. I’ve looked on Ebay and found a bergeon one and a Chinese one. Exactly the same markings and seemingly the same quality from the same factory. Anyone had any experience with these and quality issues ?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  15. Needs a cease opening knife and a watchmakers hammer. It WILL open. Put the watch in a small vice. Wrap it in a cloth to prevent scratching. Leave a small gap so the watch isn’t too tight. Insert the knife in the gap. Give it a firm tap. Increase tap pressure until it loosens. It will come off!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
