  1. Yes it is generally believed that the hand arrow mark punched with six dots is used by Couaillet Freres on their movements but the work of marking the backs of the clocks with punches was outsourced to home workers by the factory these workers would have also been marking clocks for other makers so may appear on clocks not made by them.

  3. Not sure how he even did it. Tried that but only end up even worse. Looked pretty dirty before so i reckon he maybe just cleaned it when he did that. It was a bad example and just put it up as a not to do and fun video.

  4. Great, time to get a set Cousins is much more expensive at 35 UKP, plus shipping vs 28 USD including shipping on ebay. The proper bergeon one is 90 UKP, which is not even as much as I expected. The full metal one is 260 quid though, lol

  5. I think the gauge simply stops the tailstock pushrod from moving forward. Then you adjust and it will stop at the right mark. Also put the lathe on a stand with a Countershaft Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

  6. Sometimes, an "impoverished country" is safer than a Western one. Unfortunately in the West, primarily in Europe criminals have a very easy life, indeed, and the governments and current trends of laws and rules make it so that the honest man gets stiffed while criminals are let go with little or no prison time. Back in the days, if you stole something, you went to jail, period.
