  2. Superglue has no place inside a watch. [emoji45] Dial dots if you really need to affix a dial. Sent from my Honor 5c

  3. The EB8021 is a pin lever movement. Think you movement needs a service. It's common that watches work a few days after someone starts to wear it more often. The old oil and grease is hard and brittle. If you would put the watch in a machine you would notice that it has a very low amplitud.

  4. Well I purchased the dial that Armand (arkobugg) recommended in December last year but only got around to installing it today. Still doesn't look right in the picture but it's way better than the previous one! Thanks again to Armand for the tip! Anilv

  6. This may sound a bit daft but I'm beginning to conclude that the stud clamping screw is so much missing as intentionally omitted. I currently have a 17J UT6497 in a Le Cheminant pocket watch and a 17J UT6498 in a Summit pocket watch, both from the late 70's/early 80's, and both without stud clamping screws. I was going to try and fit a screw to the 6497 as believed it to be missing, but recently acquiring the 6498 with the same omission suggested that it was intentional. Now this post convinces me even more. It begs the question "why?", although the stud does seem to be quite secure in both cases. Thankfully neither watch is in need of any H/S adjustment else it would be more of an issue.

  8. Received the watch back today complete with a new bezel foc. It is a good result, but only as expected. No indication given of what may have caused the damage. First pic below shows how it was returned after the service (full quartz movement overhaul). The second, after the bezel repair...

  9. Some times dirt gets in and around the inside of the button and it packs tight, this will prevent the button from sitting correctly to the case.
