  1. Yes it was designed no to oil the escapement you're rightBut Danies coaxial runs at 21600 frequency, and escape wheel made by gold Omega in collaboration with him changed it to 28800 and the material of the escape wheel The forces applied to the escapement were too big and the tips of it which were too fine started to deform(getting mushroom form) So in the watches which were sold started stopping after a while Omega saw that and made a revision on the movement, changed the frequency to 25000 and started oiling the tips of the escapement to avoid mushrooming effect I hope i answered your question Geo Br Emso p.s: sent from my s****y phone so sorry for typing mistakes

  2. I'm with George on this one the NOS Bulova dials are relatively cheap to pick up and will have an immediate effect. Are you a collector yet Joe or do you intend putting them up for sale to fund something else. I have all sorts of things in boxes but have yet to put one up for sale - funny that, my intention was to always keep track of outgoing and income, I even have spreadsheets but somehow, as my lovely wife pointed out, I lost track and just kept everything. I think you have slotted in amongst the Senior's - run for the door now ! ;)

  3. Just uploaded a new four part series on the Omega Seamaster Co-Axial (with a 2500 movement). This is about 1 hour long so I have split it into four parts. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLwP8fNxqhOvPfgwFF1qHaERl5DuZ-zXqA

  6. I just ordered 2 but had to cancel...they were not expensive enough and the built in toilet didn't work well! I figure I'd look at the Daniels better! :) Lawson, we can order a Daniels between the both of us and take turns wearing it! How about that!!! :) On a more serious note, I believe they are trying to find a design that is trendy and at the same time successful...something like the Oyster from Rolex that has such a large acceptance and other manufacturers tend to "homage"....

  7. Hello lr1022, I have a couple of cheap ones from EBay and you can also get more expensive if you want swiss manufacture from Cousins and the like. It is basically two metal plates aligned by posts and steadied by a spring. Mine are usable on all four sides to cover lots of sizes. They delicately hold the edge of the movement. Not all are sprung but I think I prefer them with a spring, it sort of steadies them a tad. Basically the size (width) of the movement dictates the size you need but you really need to think about your likely Max or Min sizes for your movements and buy holders to suit. They go up to 65 mm and beyond to cater for pocket watches etc. Cheers, Vic
