A Dumont & Fils question

Hi, new guy here. I recently came upon a collection of a Dumont & Fils tweezers. I know they are specialty tweezers for watch repair. Can any one shed some light on the tweezers and specific use cases?? I don't repair watches, but I figured I would come here to ask the pros about them.

Thanks!! I will post a gallery to the tweezers when I get home tonight.

Are you selling them??

Yes I will be selling them, I would like to sell them to some one who will use them for the specific use case they were designed for. I build race drones and do some machining on a lathe, so the precision of these tweezers is wasted on what I usually use tweezers for.

I will probably keep maybe one or two. What ever I feel I will actually use. I don't see my self using the very fine tip pairs.

I now what you think Geo? Not sure it's within the forumrules?

I noticed there was NOT a classified section of this forum; so out of respect for this community I had no plans to post links to my ebay page. I will have to read through the rules and regs to figure out the best way to give the members of this forum an opportunity to acquire sought after tools.
Finding a good home for these tools is the main reason I am here.
I am assuming as with most who frequent this forum, tools are more than tools. They are legacy items.

There is lots of different Dumont tweezers. Different models are prefered by different watchmakers.

Hey thanks for this link. Is there some where, where I can find info on the number system used to identify different models?? I assume it's a guage rating relative to the small components of watch movements; but not quite sure.

There are many outlets for selling goods on the net, but this forum has a strict no- sales policy.

Thanks for the info. I will be sure to familiarize myself with the rules and regs fo this forum before I continue on.

I think that if you post some pics of your creations and work this thread will lighten up :)

Don't be too quick in taking blame LoL
