Hi Everyone

I got my first watch at 12 years old (a cheap quartz Guess watch) and according to my folks it was the only thing I ever really looked after growing up. I don't know why but I have been fascinated with them ever since. Up until about 18 months ago I had never even taken the back off a watch, but one day whilst feeling brave & curious I changed a battery in my Tissot V8.  I was then asked to do the same for friends and family. Before I knew it I was asked to do all sorts of minor bits and pieces from polishing out scratches to bezel changes, and I have been learning ever since.

I decided this year to take the leap and start learning how to undertake servicing and minor repairs to the movements themselves, although it seems pretty daunting as a beginner, I am keen to learn.

I currently only have the Tissot V8 Chronograph, my old Guess watch, a Commando Anti magnetic (non runner) and an old worn pocket watch that I picked up for a few bucks whilst traveling through the states a few years ago, which I will get going again one day....

I recently sold my rose gold Omega Cal.600 dress watch and a 1953 Omega Seamaster Calendar with Cross-hair dial.

Looking forward to chatting with you all and no doubt asking a lot of questions.

Cheers

Dave
