Source for incabloc lyre spring to fit AS1686 movement

Recommended Posts

Last week I broke the lyre spring of the lower incabloc on an AS1686 movement. Could anyone please advise where I can buy a replacement in the U.K? If anyone has one for sale, please let me know. Thanks in advance Deggsy

I've tried cousins but they will not sell to me as I'm not a watch repair business. Short of telling a porky pie, I'm a little stuck.

A little lie  hasn't killed anyone? You don't have to prove that you are a watchmaker? Or are there new rules?

If that is not possible i hope someone can help you in UK . I would. But as i am in Sweden it would take  long time if i order and send to you?

What size/number of the lyre do you need. Have a few i think.

Thanks guys. What I have done is just setup my account via the cousins website. I was told when I phoned them that they only deal with repair businesses. As rogart63 says, a little lie doesn't hurt. Well if I am on world news next week for attempted fraud........[emoji3]

But I am slightly confused. My previous research led me to the part number being 173.03 for the lower resort. Can anyone please confirm. Thank you

I don't know anyplace in UK, but there is a place in Scottsdale,Arizona (US) that has an incabloc assortment for $5.  They have an 800 number (800) 552-1520 (I don't know how to call international) or their local number is (480) 483-3711.  The internet link is http://timesavers.com/i-21262938-incabloc-spring-assortment.html

Hope that helps.  If not, let me know and I'll keep trying.  I have an assortment, but at the moment, it is packed up and I don't know if I can get to it.  (I'm having a little house built behind my son, so I'm living out of boxes right now.)  If I find anything, I'll let you know.

Hi Shirley. You are so kind, but I think I have now got to the bottom of this. Firstly I've now opened a cousins account, something they said on the phone that I would not be able to do as I'm not a business. Secondly, I've been downloading the incabloc data sheet for AS. It should actually have been Standard. So I can now see that I need a 770.03 [emoji3]. I'm happy! Kind regards to all. Deggsy

This is a repeat post I think but there is no AS 1686 mentioned in my Incabloc catalogue but the range is as follows:

Upper spring 170.03  lower spring 173.03

If you can measure them they both have the width of 1.55 mm.

The upper spring length is 2.31mm

The lower spring length is 2.23mm

Hello clockboy. The movement is listed under incabloc Standard SA.
