automatic stops

I have an automatic woman's watch that will run for 15 to 20 seconds then stop. With a little air on the balance wheel it will resume for another few seconds then stop. Please, any help where to look inside the watch would be most helpful.

I think the first thing to do is a good cleaning and oiling.

Yes sounds like its ready for a service first after that if the problem persists its time for a little fault finding investigation.

You have described the symptoms about a watch that needs a good clean.

welcome Geezer ;not  every system means " clean and  service"   here is an example : often a loose case screw will fall into the mvt..  AND  jam the works.  only good magnification or " open and inspect will" find the system.  cheers,  vinn

great advice, it could be something such as a piece of fluff/debris in between a wheel / pivot
