Safety Pinion

Recommended Posts

Thank you Cad, now I know what it is. I'm not into vintage pocket watches much so I couldn't place where I've heard about  or seen the thing. Hell, I couldn't even remember about its function protecting from mainspring breaks! Good call! Keep them coming! :)

Cheers,

Bob

What happen to me was that I thought that the main spring power was dissipated and when I pushed the release level, POW: lowed noise and a spinning Center gear (#2). When I disassembled the watch, I discovered that all I needed to do was screw back the small gear on the Center pinion. Tada 2599ecb8841766552f3b24d9c83f37a1.jpg
