Change Crystal On Seiko 7009-3181

Hi everyone

I need to replace the Crystal off my Seiko 7009-3181.

Can anyone tell me if I need to remove the steel Bezel in order to take out the old class and put the new one? Can the new glass go in with the stell bezel in place?

Welcome to the forum. Normally you remove the bezel, put the new crystal on just using finger pressure then press the bezel on last using a press.

Agree with what Roger said. Also some models don't even need the bezel removal step so the crystal is pressed in and held in place by an plastic ring. Some bezels are also held in by a ring and need to be pressed in. I'm not particularly familiar with this case number so a picture might help.

This may help.  7009-3181 not listed but some 7009 are and may be similar to yours.
